Podere LeVigne lies amongst gently rolling hills in Umbria, the lush heart of Italy, far from   traffic and noise. The splendid view from the house includes sweeping expanses of vineyards and sunflower fields meandering over hills dotted with old farmhouses here and there. In the distance you can see small medieval towns sitting on the  side of silvery glistening mountains as far as the imposing Mount Amiata.

The oldest documents show that it dates back to 1530. The old podere vinicolo (wine-producing farm) was  very carefully restored by Verena Badertscher fourteen years ago. She added the modern buildings without unsettling the feeling of the centuries-old brick walls. A very pleasant atmosphere surrounds her guests.
